AIFEST has been successfully promoting the cause of English Research and Studies in India since 1994. Around 4800 new members joined AIFEST in the year that passed by (as of 31 January 2026). We continue to grow, serve and learn.

AIFEST General Elections 2019-2020
All India Forum for English Students, Scholars and Trainers (AIFEST)
As you all know, the official commencement of the activities of AIFEST will be on Teachers’ Day, 5th September. The entire team of office bearers are resigning, with a view to infuse fresh life and vigour into our activities. The Forum will surely benefit from the experience and expertise of the members who are vacating. Our new office-bearers will take charge on 5th itself, and the programmes for the coming year, until 31 August 2020 will be decided thereafter.
The following positions are to be filled, and applications are invited from interested members of AIFEST:
001. President
Shall be the executive and administrative head of AIFEST for the year 2019-20
002. Vice President
Shall perform the duties and exercise the privileges of the President during his absence
003. General Secretary
Shall supervise the day-to-day functioning of the forum
004. Joint General Secretary
Shall assist the Hon’ble General Secretary
005. PR Officer
Shall be in-charge of press-releases, brochures, email communications
Any member of AIFEST, who is 18 years of age as on 20 August 2019 is eligible to apply. No recommendations or nominations will be entertained. Welcome to the fold of All India Forum for English Students, Research Scholars and Trainers (AIFEST).
We are extremely glad to inform you that your application for free lifetime membership has been approved.
Hereafter, you will be a proud member of AIFEST, and this membership gives you access to all our services and resources.
Fresh leaves signal the arrival of Spring season. The arrival of each new member rejuvenates and strengthens the AIFEST fraternity.
You are also welcome to contribute to AIFEST in the form of ideas, suggestions, resources and voluntary participation of any sort.
Despite our best efforts, there is always the scarcity for both good resources and resource persons. Feel free to be at home at AIFEST and contribute to mutual growth and enrichment.
Our database is being updated, so please be patient.
The best way to be an active member of AIFEST is to constantly keep in touch with us. You can email us your suggestions and feedback concerning English education in India, update us about the services you can volunteer and share with us via email any relevant information (concerning conferences, seminars, academic initiatives, your achievements, publications, vacancy notifications and creative enterprises).
We may not be able to respond to every email, but we will definitely be doing our best to serve you.

Intimation for Shortlisted Candidates
We are delighted to inform you that your application has been shortlisted for the post of President. Now, to finalise the office-bearers, we request you to send an email, with the following details, before 5 pm on Monday, 2nd September 2019:
1. A detailed CV/ Resume (as word/pdf attachment)
2. A recent passport size photograph (jpg attachment)
3. The number of hours you will be able to dedicate for AIFEST per month. (Everything can be done through email, mobile phone or video conferencing, when required. There won't be any clerical work/travelling/monetary expense involved since this is an honorary and voluntary not-for-profit position.)
4. Share your dreams, plans, proposals and ideas with us, so that we can know what you will be offering to the FORUM. Feel free to be creative and constructive. Don't worry about the practicality, we want to hear your ideas. It should tell us about what you will be doing if you are selected.(To guide you, keep in mind that AIFEST conducts academic activities, workshops, readings, contests, lectures, training programmes, mentoring and career guidance services, ebook assistance, library service, Net English training, placement assistance and so on. Almost all of these are provided online through our dedicated and selfless volunteers. We don't have any funding mechanism, so everything needs to be planned keeping that in mind. As always, all services offered by AIFEST will be totally free and geared towards promoting English learners, scholars and trainers.)
Your submission will be scrutinized by our advisory committee. If required, we may request you for clarifications regarding certain things. Once the procedures are over, the list of office-bearers for the year 2019-20 will be personally emailed to all the shortlisted candidates on 4th September 2019, and officially announcement through print and electronic media, along with separate emails for all the members of our family, will be made on 5th September 2019.

Plans for 2019-2020
After the Anniversary celebrations and vacation, AIFEST is gearing up for another great year of academic activities, workshops, readings, contests, competitions, training programmes, publications and a lot more. As always, all services offered by AIFEST will be totally free, thanks to the good heart of our eminent team members and volunteers.
Some initiatives like ebook assistance, library service, mentoring, career guidance and Net English training are already underway. 1647 new members have joined AIFEST in the year that passed by (as of 20 August 2019). 1299 new lifetime members have also joined during the year, making us 14591 member strong Forum. Our eldest member is 89 years old, and our youngest is 17 years old (as of 20 August 2019).

AIFEST Free Lifetime Membership Registration

As part of the 25th Anniversary celebration of All India Forum for English Students, Scholars and Trainers (AIFEST), Lifetime membership is offered freely upon registration on or before 31 July 2019. Permanent faculty are requested not to register since this forum is primarily intended to promote and support students, researchers and ad-hoc faculty. (Open for Indian Citizens only)
